EVENT VENUE
THE FARMHOUSE KC
In good weather, share your vows on our 3000 square foot patio! The space includes up to 230 white Chiavari chairs and wine barrels are available to use as well. The outdoor ceremony feels secluded, surrounded by 100 year old trees and a white picket fence. It is nestled perfectly between the bridal suite and groom's cottage, for easy access for both parties. There is also a sidewalk guiding guests directly to it from the parking lot, so that the inside Reception Space can be revealed after ceremony. Choose from various processional entry locations - our favorite is from the garage doors!
OUTDOOR CEREMONY SPACE
Bring the party indoors to our Reception Space! The venue is the perfect balance of elegant + rustic - with exposed beams, both whitewashed brick + shiplap walls, and five large chandeliers that will dazzle your guests! The Reception Space seats up to 230 guests - in a mix of round tables and a long wooden Farmhouse table to be used for the couple and their party head table. Use the remaining areas of the space to hold other festivities - buffet, welcome table, dessert table, photo booth, champagne wall, dance floor - we like to keep everything together, so your guests stay close by!
RECEPTION SPACE
Whether due to the rain, wind, or cold - or by choice - our Reception Space doubles as a beautiful backdrop for indoor nuptials. We make it easy - setting up for reception from the start, with your guests sat forward-facing "Oscar Style" for the ceremony so that they can easily pivot their chairs and transition straight into reception. There is a perfect entryway for processional through the front door, or you can opt to enter from the bridal suite. Decorate the altar just as you would outside with an arbor or other backdrop. The main chandelier will hang directly above the center of the aisle - providing the perfect down the aisle kiss shot!
INSIDE CEREMONY SPACE
The perfect getting ready suite has it all! Enough counter space, tall chairs, mirrors, and lighting for hair and makeup; a large closet to hang the party's attire plus a spotlight for the wedding gown; a private bathroom; TV and Bluetooth Speaker to keep the jams flowing; access to view both the Outside Ceremony Space and Reception Space if you want to take a peek at setup throughout the day; a mini fridge and counter to lay out snacks; tall mirrors for the perfect Getting Ready photos; that pretty pink couch - and we even stock the Mimosa Bar for your arrival!
the SUITE
We hear it all the time - this suite is the biggest you'll find in all of KC...and that's because it's an 1100 square foot cottage! Built in the 1920's, the cottage has been preserved and remodeled for the perfect hangout space - use it for a groom's cottage, bridal cottage, or a place for family to relax and get ready. Vendors love it to help keep parties separate during the day (no peeking before First Look or Ceremony!). The cottage is perfect to both get ready and have fun in all day - with leather couches, multiple flat screen TVs, Bluetooth sound bar, phone charging station, large dressing room, private bathroom, full kitchenette, and a pool table! In the loft upstairs, there is a super fun neon "Til Death" sign that photographers love!
THE COTTAGE
The bar may not seem important in your venue search - but our bar is a staple in the space and many guests comment on the WOW factor it brings with the whitewashed brick, display of top shelf liquors, and the Edison Bulb lighting features.
Our bartenders have been voted Best of KC and are the pros at serving your guests all night long. The space is perfect as is - just create a custom bar menu & it's complete!
THE BAR
We might be located in the heart of Independence - but from these photos, you wouldn't be able to tell! The grounds of our property has immense variety for the backdrops of your photos. In just one loop around our property, your backdrops include: vast wooded areas, a fairytale white picket fence, the 1920s cottage, cozy pine trees, massive garage doors, wood beams, The Farmhouse Venue, a sunset view, and rolling fields. There's no reason to travel to alternate photo locations - you get it all right here!
